Employee Fundraising and Volunteerism
Delta people care deeply about our communities and donate their time, resources and expertise to make a positive impact.
Celebrating 100 Years of Service in Action
In 2025, Delta expanded its annual Global Volunteer Month campaign, as part of its celebration honoring 100 years of flight, by hosting 155 volunteer events throughout April. From packing meals and mentoring youth to cleaning coastlines and donating life-saving blood, Delta people demonstrated the servant leadership that fuels our airline every day.
Throughout the month, 4,435 Delta volunteers donated 8,618 hours of service around the world. The 2025 Global Volunteer Month also marked the first time SkyMiles Members participated alongside our people.

Hours spent by Delta volunteers giving back to our communities with their time and skills

One of my favorite volunteering experiences this year was partnering with the Delta KABOOM! team to build a playground at Grant Park in Atlanta. Seeing everyone contribute to creating a safe, fun space for children reminded me of the power of teamwork and Delta’s commitment to giving back. This experience strengthened our bonds and showcased how we can make a meaningful difference beyond the workplace.”
Matching Gifts to Education Program
Each year, The Delta Air Lines Foundation matches personal contributions of up to $5,000 made by Delta employees, retirees and Board members to eligible, accredited public and private nonprofit educational institutions (pre-K through postgraduate), including those with a faith-based focus, in the United States. In 2025, the program generated $3.8 million in support of education.
