Delta strives to support the physical, emotional, financial and social health and well-being of our employees so that they can live their best lives and bring their best selves to work. We offer valuable benefits and programs to help our people and their families thrive at every stage of life. Strengthening health and wellness is a partnership between our people, their care providers and Delta, so we provide resources and trusted partners to help ensure employees have access to the right care, at the right time, every time.

By investing in a broad suite of benefits, Delta enables purpose, belonging and affinity among our people, which in turn leads them to go above and beyond for each other and for our customers. This people-first philosophy helps Delta achieve a culture of safety, high performance and care.

Delta’s benefits and resources have always been shaped by employee feedback to make sure we are providing rewarding compensation, holistic wellness resources and fulfilling career journeys. This is possible through regularly surveying our people about their holistic wellness and prioritizing programs with the greatest impact and value.

Assessing Our People’s Wellness Needs

Our 12-question Flourishing Index Survey, developed by researchers at Harvard University, provides a quantitative assessment of total wellness supplemented with qualitative interviews with employees. We have used insights from recent Flourishing Index Surveys to shape Delta’s Emergency Savings Program and other wellness benefits.

In addition, our leaders regularly engage with employees one-on-one to assess their wellness needs.

Delta Wellness Areas of Focus

At Delta, wellness is focused on the physical, emotional, financial and social health and well-being of Delta people, and contributes to our Safety First and people-first culture. The team is committed to caring for Delta people when they face any expected or unexpected challenges in their health and wellness.

Connecting Our People With Wellness Solutions

We focus on providing holistic resources that support our people at the right time and in the ways that they need. The most powerful proof points of Delta’s wellness investments are the Delta employees who have improved their lives through these offerings. In the testimonial below, a real employee encourages other Delta people to take steps to improve their own health using Delta’s offerings.

EMERGENCY SAVINGS AND EDUCATION

“The Emergency Savings Program was so much more than just the money Delta deposited into my account; I gained so much more in knowledge. After completing the program, I opened multiple sinking funds to prepare for upcoming health care and other expenses. That planning became a lifeline when I faced back issues. I was able to cover the costs from my sinking fund without touching my 401(k) or draining my checking account.”

Emotional Wellness

Through our employee assistance program, offered in partnership with Spring Health, employees can access 12 total Delta-sponsored mental health counseling sessions and/or personal coaching sessions per year. Spring Health therapists are in-network with Delta health plans and available for in-person or virtual sessions. Employees can use the digital-driven program to find a therapist based on their individual needs for continuity-based care, with appointments guaranteed in an average of two days.

Beyond our work with employees, Delta is dedicated to working in our communities to provide mental health support and education. We partner with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, to help raise awareness and support those in need.

Healthy Lifestyles

We encourage our people to live well by eating well, exercising and creating other healthy habits. In 2025, we enhanced our opportunities for healthy living:

  • Added a popular weight-management app at no cost for employees worldwide to support healthy habits
  • Expanded pharmacy cost-reduction resources to all employee medical options

Family-Building Benefits

In response to employee feedback, Delta has continued to invest heavily in family-planning benefits. Domestic employees and their spouses receive support from a virtual clinic that offers continuous, holistic care for fertility and family building. In 2025, we saw high enrollment in and strong employee engagement with this benefit.

Those who enroll in Delta’s health plans also have access to a fertility benefits provider; a 24/7 integrated pharmacy; and lower-cost treatments, including artificial insemination and in vitro fertilization (IVF), and medications for fertility treatments.

In addition to generous parental leave, we offer subsidized emergency backup care, with 25 days of care for an employee to use when a provider is unavailable during work hours. Our team is connected to vetted, qualified caregivers for U.S. employees’ children and adult family members.

Financial Wellness

More than 50% of Americans are not comfortable with their level of savings in case of a financial emergency, according to recent data.1 To help our employees achieve a level of financial security, in January 2023, Delta introduced the Emergency Savings Program in partnership with Operation HOPE and Fidelity Investments. Available to all U.S.-based employees, it incentivizes employees to begin building greater financial security, with a contribution of up to $1,000 toward their emergency savings. Employees earn a one-time contribution of $750 upon completing an online educational track and their first one-on-one coaching session, and an additional $250 contribution from Delta upon reaching $250 in savings from their payroll deductions.

In 2025, about 7,900 Delta employees completed the financial wellness program, each earning the full $1,000. Most participating employees are actively growing that safety net with their own earnings, saving an average of $88 from every paycheck via payroll deduction.

Establishing an emergency savings account has had a significant impact on the lives of participants. Among employees surveyed, those who reported being able to save for goals other than emergencies more than doubled after completing the program.
